Sports Xpress Recruiting Xclusive:Jelon Hornbeak

Jelon Hornbeak is a name to remember in the class of 2012, standing at 6'4 189 lbs Hornbeak is playing his high school ball at Grace Prep Academy. Hornbeak says the schools recruiting him are "Arizona,Iowa,Missouri,Texas,Texas Tech,Baylor,LSU,Texas A&M,Colorado,Pittsburgh, Virginia,Oklahoma,Marquette,Boston College,Kansas State,West Virginia,Rutgers, and Miami (FL)."
Hornbeak says 5 of those stand out, and said a little on each of them, below:
Oklahoma - "The coches are real good friends with me and I like their style of play."
Pittsburgh - "I like Coach Jamie Dixon's style of play."
Arizona - "Many guards have gone to the NBA from there."
Virginia - "Real good staff."
Missouri - "I love the whole staff, and program."
As for when Jelon will make his decision he says "I will most likely make my choice around the end of my AAU season." "I don't want to stay close to home, and I want to be able to come in and play right away, if you let me play I will produce some way some how to make my team win" Hornbeak told Sports Xpress.
As for players he tries to pattern his game after he says "I like to watch Baron Davis,Joe Johnson,Monte Ellis,Brandon Jennings, and Derrick Rose."
