  • Walton hopes to chip in at Washington

    The last time we spoke with Talia Walton she was filtering through her recruitment. Since then she's found her college home with the Washington Huskies of which she says "I love the school,the team,my new coaches, and everything else."

    Walton who redshirted last season is already gearing up for next season in stating "I am in the gym every day, dooing different basketball workouts that our coaches have given us and I'm getting in the weight room to continue to get stronger as well as getting my knee right."

    Coming off a redshirt season Walton discussed hos it helped her heading into this season "This redshirt helped me so much, it gave me the opportunity to watch and learn the system that the coaches run. It also helped me become a better student of the game and learn from the mistakes my team mates made."

    The 6'2 forward is excited to play in the PAC-12 and says specifically against two programs in Stanford and Cal of which she says "I'm just excited to fully experience the life of a college athlete."

    Walton talked about her Huskie team in saying "UW is shaping up well, I can see improvement from each individual player and myself. We are all so hungry and working really hard. We are a team on the rise."
