Tara Wolfenbarger is loaded with determination, a determination so big that she will not take no for a answer. When Wolfenbarger told SX she wanted to play college volleybal she meant it.
The Bourbon County (KY) junior recently camped at the University of Kentucky volleyball camp. One glaring difference the talented, yet growing junior saw was "It's so funny to see such a difference in a county schools volleyball to the bigger city schools."
Despite coming from a smaller school Tara says "It was a good experience to see what I needed to do to improve my game this year. I learned good skills from the 101 coaches they had."
One of the coaches on hand was nearby Transylvania University's head coach of which Tara says "He was at a station for passing, he said I had pretty good potential and would like to hear from me."
Wolfenbarger will head to another nearby college's upcoming camp in Morehead State in the coming weeks.
The Transylvania coach wasn't the only person Tara got to speak with while at the camp as she says "I got to talk to a women's setter from some team in Ohio, and a Ohio man who played on the team that won nationals." On those two she says "They were very impressed with my setting and my ability in game situations."
