Sports Xpress Recruiting Xclusive:Kyle Schafenacker

Kyle Schafenaker is a key cog on one of the best teams annually throughout Florida in St. Thomas Aquinas. The 6'4 285 lbs. OL prospect has 7 offers from "Cincinnati,UCONN,Florida Atlantic,SMU,South Carolina, and Miami (OH) while also garnering interest from Florida State,South Florida,Wisconsin,LSU, and Duke."
Kyle has one school on top, "The top school for me woule be Florida State. Cincinnati and UCONN are standing out to" he says. Kyle also spoke about each of those three programs in stating "Florida State has a great programm and is relatively close to home,Cincinnati has a great engineering program and they won the Big East the last 3 years,and UCONN is also very strong academically and I can probably get some early playing time."
As for which schools are recruiting him the hardest Kyle says "I would say UCONN,Cincinnati,and Florida Atlantic are recruiting me the hardest." One staff member has stood out from one of those schools in Coach (George) DeLeone of UCONN "Because he has coached in the NFL." according to the Ft. Lauderdale (FL) OL.
"I'm planning to visit Cincinnati in late July, and possibly UCONN" Kyle said when asked if he had any upcoming visits scheduled. Schafenaker has already been on the campuses of Florida State,South Carolina,Florida Atlantic,South Florida,and Miami (OH). Kyle spoke about some of those visits saying "I did one day camps at Miami (OH), and South Florida where I toured each school. I got to meet the coaches at South Carolina and toured the school, I also toured Florida Atlantic, and attended the Florida State junior day."
Players Schafenaker wouldn't mind playing with on the next level include "Austin Bland,Zach Provin,Lance Virgile,Joey Bosa,John O'Korn, and Fred Coppett."
