    By:Kenneth True (@SXKennethTrue on Twitter)

Chris Egi is another young Canadian star to keep an eye on. As a member of the class of 2015, Egi plays at St. Andrews College in Markham, Ontario (Canada) and with the CIA Bounce on the summer circuit.

The 6’8 215 lbs. forward prospect had the opportunity to play in the 2012 Jordan Brand Classic International game.

Egi has a list already of “Harvard, Stanford, Georgetown, Illinois, Northwestern, Purdue, Gonzaga, Detroit, George Washington, Baylor, and Boston College.”

“Right now I wouldn’t say any schools are really standing out to me, I’m just trying to keep my mind open at this stage of the process” Egi tells SX. But he takes a different tone when asked who’s recruiting him the hardest, Egi replied “I’d have to say Harvard, Stanford, and Illinois have been recruiting me the hardest.”

The talented Canadian star hasn’t had the chance to check out any of the schools on his list, but says “Harvard, Northwestern, Illinois, and Stanford all have visited me since school started.” As far as how each visit went Egi says “I felt all the visits went well, all the coaches told me about how I’d fit in and how their schools also fit in terms of academics.”

As far as future college team mates the talented sophomore says he wouldn’t mind playing with is Montaque Gill-Caesar because “I’ve played with him on my AAU team and for our provincial team.”
