Sports Xpress Recruiting Xclusive:Averee Fields

Averee Fields is one of the states top basketball players, thus the reason she'll be taking her game to the Big East and suiting up for West Virginia. West Virginia wasn't the only school wanting the Calloway County star she also fielded interest from Western Kentucky,Louisville, Michigan State,Marquette, and St. John's.
The reason she says she chose the Mountaineers is "it was a great atmosphere, and I really felt comfortable. They also emphasize defense and running the ball and that's how I like to play
Fields also has built a good relationship with the coaching staff saying "we have a great relationship,I get to know each coach individually either through phone calls,email, or texting. It has been great, I cannot wait to lear and play under them."
Four other young ladies will join Averee in this recruiting class, including Linda Stepney who is ESPN Hoopgurlz #68 prospect joining Stepney and Fields will be 6-1 Crystal Leary and 6' Akilah Bethel. The Mountaineers class currently ranks #28.
